Our Expert Review

Service [?]

When it comes to Filipino service quality, it is always excellent. It is inherent to Filipinos to be warm and cordial especially towards their guests. The staff of Two Seasons are not an exception. They exhibit all the welcoming qualities of a Filipino and as a result, you get the level of service that you expect from a 5 stars resort.

Excellent

Cleanliness and Design [?]

Not only is the entire island clean and well-maintained, the staff are also dedicated to ensure that nature is well-kept and preserved. This dedication is extended to their house reefs and other nearby natural treasures along with the wild animals and plants in the area. There is daily housekeeping and the pool is maintained on a daily basis as well.

Excellent

Rooms [?]

The rooms are very spacious and each with a veranda to take in the beautiful views all around. The beds are comfortable and the room amenities are luxurious. Some rooms have direct beach access and others have their own garden and Jacuzzi. The mixture of local materials and modern design adds to the pleasant island vibe.

Excellent

Beach and Pool [?]

This is an island resort which means there is a private beach in the property. There is a 200-meter beach on both sides of the island and if that is not enough, there is also a sandbar connected to an islet. The 600 sqm adult and kiddie pool is very well-designed and strategically located in the resort. If you are staying in Coron and want a beach - this is one of the only good options.

Excellent

Location [?]

If you are looking for seclusion and tranquility, then the location is perfect. However, tourist spots are relatively far from the property and the city is 40 minutes away on a boat. When the weather is bad, there can be some delays in transport to and from the island which may affect the overall comfort and travel experience of the guests.

Very good

Value for Money [?]

Two Seasons Coron Island Resort and Spa is not an all-inclusive resort. The price per night is already too expensive and on top of that you have to pay for almost everything else on the property. Food, island-hopping excursions, additional bottle of water, some water equipment usage and use of other facilities like the kid’s club are not complimentary and all come with a hefty price tag. Still, we gave it a good score since it is by far the best and most luxurious resort in Coron, and one of only a few real 5 stars property there.

Very good

Two Seasons Coron Island Resort and Spa offer a myriad of activities you could try out. There is always something to do, especially for the adventurous ones. The sandbar is accessible to guests and it connects to an islet. There are also 2 beaches on the island. One is sunrise beach and the other is of course best for sunset views. The house reef which is a few meters from the shore is teeming with marine life and is an excellent snorkeling spot. There are also lush mangroves perfect for kayaking and paddle boarding. Snorkeling equipment, regular kayaks and paddle boards are free. If you don’t pay for a package then you have to pay for other water equipment usage such as catamarans, paddle boats, water ski, kiteboarding , banana boats and wake boards. The top-of-the-line HydroBob Submersible Scooters and transparent kayaks are also available at the resort.

There is a restaurant that serves a mixture of local and western dishes, as well as a bar with wide variety of drinks and snacks. The resort also feature a gym and fitness center, a library, game room, karaoke room, DVD library, business center with computer stations, pool table, kiddie play room, conference room, souvenir shop and a sports center. Naturally, it is difficult to please everybody. Some guests were disappointed with the food quality and the lack of things to do on the island. What do guests love about Two Seasons Coron Island Resort and Spa?

  • It is a private eco-friendly resort on a beautiful island
  • Spacious rooms with comfortable beds, amazing bathrooms and balcony
  • Tours around the island are great especially the house reef and dive sites
  • Warm, friendly and professional staff
  • Very quiet and secluded - perfect for romance

Some negative aspects that could affect your booking are:

  • Location being a bit far from town and tourist
  • All inclusive packages are expensive
  • The food doesn't qualify as fine dining even if priced accordingly
  • No evening entertainment
  • Some facility and room design is a bit old and needs updating

If you are not financially constrained, Two Seasons Coron Island Resort is perfect. It gives you everything you ask for, coupled with the unmatched Filipino hospitality. You can just enjoy all the island has to offer and be treated like royalty. If you are looking for an all inclusive stay in Coron – this is the place to stay at.

Since their tours and premium activities are quite expensive, we usually advise our guests to book just 2-3 nights there, aimed mainly at relaxation. You can make use of the resort’s excellent facilities and stunning beaches and enjoy a secluded and luxurious environment. Then, spend an extra few days in a resort closer to town and book the same tours for almost half the price. If you want to maintain the same high standards, then the sister resort – the Two Seasons Coron Bayside would be an excellent choice.
