Occupying a 6.5 hectare property right at the center of Alona Beach, Hennan Resort is a 5-star beach resort that defines luxury and comfort on a whole different level. As the biggest resort on the island, it is perfect for families, friends and big groups who are looking for that all-inclusive experience without a hefty price tag.
Upon arrival, you will be greeted by warm, open spaces and structures that are beautifully designed. The large lobby area is very nice to sit at, and you immediately feel at home. The calming interiors and overall ambiance will immediately soothe your mood and prepare you for a memorable stay.
With 400 world-class accommodations on offer, Hennan Resort Alona Beach is the largest of all Hennan Resorts chain. It has the widest and longest beachfront at 120 meters wide. On the other hand, it still holds the authentic Hennan signature design with its direct-pool access rooms, pool bars and that amazing Hennan hospitality.
Despite the size of the resort, staff of Hennan Alona Beach still manage to cater to everyone’s needs in a warm and efficient manner. They are always friendly and welcoming. Service can be slow during peak times at the check-in/check-out counters but there are enough lounge chairs for the waiting guests.
The rooms are cleaned on a daily basis and the public areas are always immaculately maintained. The interiors and decoration are a blend of contemporary and earthy tones adding to the overall soothing vibe of the place. The only downside is the lack of ramps for disabled people so some areas are hard to access.
There are numerous room types to choose from with varying prices but all are equipped with modern room amenities and balconies. The rooms are all spacious and functional. All rooms have king-sized beds, TV and complimentary toiletries.
The 3 swimming pools are well-designed, squeaky clean and very kid-friendly although some areas of the pool can be slippery. There are pool bars in strategic locations if you want to enjoy a few drinks without leaving the pool. On the other hand, the beach is wide and long and there are enough sunbeds for guests to enjoy. They can do a bit more cleaning on the beach area though.
It is a few minutes away from the airport and it is close to the center of town but far enough from the roadside noise. Access to the beach is superb and there are cafes and bars and restaurants near the area.
It is still expensive compared to most boutique resorts in the area but it is very affordable compared to other 5-star resorts, and the overall level at Henann is very high.
If you get tired from all the tours, you can relax and get pampered in the resort’s Kai Spa which is located at the beach. You can choose from signature massages, aesthetic wraps with scrubs, facial treatments and hand and foot options. They also have a mini-shop for your convenience.
A resounding YES is an understatement to say the least. In Tripadvisor, the score is 4 with 1744 reviews where 54% said it was an excellent stay and only 4% gave it the lowest score. In booking.com, the score was 9.1 with 2712 reviews where most rated was comfort at 9.4 and wifi at 7.7. Lastly, in Agoda, the scores are even better at 9.2 with a whopping 5971 reviews of which 95% highly recommends the resort to their family and friends. Most of the guests who stayed in Hennan Resort Alona Beach are with family and friends and they have a lot of positive things to say about the resort especially when it comes to food, services, amenities and the beach. Kids generally love the pool. The breakfast buffet is always mentioned for its superb choices, and the rooms are always a subject of delight for its comfort and design. The only big issue is the noise which for some people travelling alone or without kids can be very disappointing. Some negative comments are minor and do not really affect the overall experience like the lack of Jacuzzi, the line during peak hours in the check-in/check-out counters and the proximity of other rooms to other facilities.
What do guests love about Hennan Resort Alona Beach?
Some things to be aware of before booking:
However, if you are travelling alone, or if you are a couple and are looking for a quiet moment and privacy, Hennan Resort Alona Beach is not for you. A smaller boutique resort like Amorita or Bohol Beach club would be much nicer. The constant noise of children’s laughter and nagging screams everywhere is just not ideal. Your money is better spent on smaller more private resorts for seclusion and tranquility.

The junior suite is much larger than the standard rooms with 55 square meters of space. It has a king size bed, and an extra single bed can be added. This room also provides access to the VIP lounge.
The most luxurious room outside the presidential suite. This room is good for 2 people and have a king sized bed and a private pool. With over 120 square meters, this is the very definition of luxury.
