El Nido Garden Beach Resort is a 3-star beachfront property set between a lush forest and the Bacuit Bay. It perfectly captures the magnificence of the island as it defines a new way of blending nature with traditional and contemporary architectural designs. With only 10 rooms on offer, this small boutique resort has the best panoramic views of both the mountains and the sea. It is the best beach resort for young adults who love to have fun as the location is perfect for bar-hopping and night parties.
Similarly-priced properties close to town include the Mahogany beach resort and Buko beach resort. Both have nicer rooms and better beach, but the swimming pool in El Nido Garden Beach Resort is by far the largest and the garden with the beautiful mountains at the backdrop is unparalleled.
Due to the size of the resort, staff are able to provide good quality service by making sure that all customers’ needs are met. The staff are very attentive, polite and cheerful. However, communication can be difficult as some of them are not be very well-versed in English.
The huge garden is well-maintained and the swimming pool is cleaned on a regular basis. There is also daily housekeeping available along with laundry services.
The rooms in El Nido Garden are great; the bed is comfortable and there is ample wardrobe space but they are smaller compared to other similarly-priced properties in the area. There are toiletries provided, but the toilet and shower area is quite basic for the price. The beach-front rooms are closest to the beach but they are actually facing the swimming pool and not the beach.
The swimming pool in El Nido Garden is much bigger and cleaner than other resorts in the area. Unfortunately, the beach is not ideal for swimming because it is heavily prone to low tides with very sharp rocks and the area is jammed full of boats anchored all over the place. There is a very good beach 500 meters away though.
The resort is located close enough to the center of town but far enough from the busy streets. There are a number of restaurants and bars in the area as well as other specialty stores like dive shops, souvenir shops and convenience stores.
As much as it is a wonderful place in a good location, the price is too high for what it offers. You can easily find cheaper accommodations with similar amenities in the area or you can find other resorts for the same price but with more luxurious and exclusive ambiance.
There is an air-conditioned restaurant perfect for when you want to cool down after a hot summer’s day. The bar is also quite nice, as they offer home-made cocktails and a good selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The resort’s signature spa is also highly-recommended. Restorative treatment for face and body is available through exfoliation, detoxification followed by a rejuvenating whole body massage.
Although the beach is not good for swimming, it is still enjoyable with non-motorized waters sports equipment that can be rented at the resort. The beach also serves as a docking area for boats going to different islands in the Bacuit Bay archipelago. This means that guests of El Nido Garden can easily access the famous islands and travel time is significantly less compared to other properties in El Nido.
All rooms in El Nido Garden have standard amenities like tea and coffee-making facility, mini fridge, balconies, flat screen TV’s with cable channels, free bottled water, hair dryers, in-room safe and minibar.
There is no official website for El Nido Garden Beach Resort but they do have their own Facebook page where people can contact the resort directly for inquiries. Online reviews from different travel platforms are very few but positive comments outweigh the negatives. El Nido Garden is rated higher than other resorts in the vicinity but it scored a lot lower compared to Mahogany and Buko which are both similarly-priced properties. We believe the reason is guests find the other two resorts better in terms of value for money. In Tripadvisor, EL Nido Garden had a 3.5 rating with 111 reviews. Agoda’s overall score is 7.6 with food and dining at 5.5 and location rated 8.7 out of 306 verified reviews. The main selling point of this property is its location and spectacular views. Guests can have easy access to the town center and also to other nearby islands. The sunset views are also breathtaking. The swimming pool is also complimented multiple times as most properties in the area either have smaller pools or doesn’t have a pool at all. In terms of value for money, many guests commented that it is a bit too pricey. The rooms are spacious but similarly priced resorts farther from town in Corong-Corong offer better, bigger and more luxurious rooms with more modern amenities.
